Papua New Guinea Secondary School Makes History


 

A WiderNet field associate in Papau New Guinea, Priscilla Eka, passes along the following article form Papua New Guinea's The National newspaper. 

Priscilla says, "Cameron Secondary School has made history by becoming the first school to represent Milne Bay in the IBS debate competition." According to a teacher at Cameron Secondary School, when the school won an inter-school debate to represent the province in the national IBS debate competition: "The eGranary digital library has helped us a lot in that we used up-to-date and a wide variety of information. Before, we used books which were outdated and had little information. Books and papers were strewn all over the tables in the library. Now, the digital library has made it easier to work in one place only with a minimal amount of paperwork."
