New 2014 eGranary

We are excited to announce the release of the new eGranary in August 2014.

New and updated content includes:

  • New and updated copy of Wikipedia
  • New medical information and public health resources
  • Economic development and sustainability
  • Thousands of world languages
  • Religious studies
  • Science and technology education resources for teachers and secondary students
  • New full-length books (fiction and nonfiction)
  • Resources on sexuality and development
  • Basic life skills like employment, job readiness, and entrepreneurship
  • and much more

In addition to the new and updated content, the new eGranary features an even better Community Information Platform (CIP). The CIP is a feature on the eGranary that allows users to create and edit websites that are stored in their local eGranary. The interface makes it easy to upload and share files like photos, slideshows and documents. Users can use the CIP to create:

  • a page or site for a community club or group
  • a community directory
  • a Web site for a school, library, hospital or other community organization
  • a course Web site
  • a personal Web page about yourself or your family, with information and photos
  • social networking sites

While it is not possible list all of eGranary's 35 million resources, below is a list of exciting new sites featured in the new eGranary.
