The WiderNet Project is a nonprofit organization, affiliated with WiderNet@UNC at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, that is dedicated to improving digital communications to all communities and individuals around the world in need of educational resources, knowledge, and training.
We provide resources, coaching, training, computers and educational materials to schools, clinics, libraries and homes with poor digital communication resources.
We also develop and distribute the eGranary Digital Library [1], a plug-and-play server that provides instant access to millions of digital documents without the need of a connection to the Internet.
WiderNet is moving to North Carolina!
Between January 1 and April 20, 2013, the WiderNet Project is moving to Chapel Hill and the School of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina. This includes everything: staffing, research programs, and eGranary production. Though we are working hard to minimize the effects of this, you may experience some delays in responses from staff and fulfillment of eGranary orders. Thanks for your patience.
