- The Internet Society is pleased to offer this vitally important in-depth symposium, that
addresses a range of highly pertinent
technology and policy issues affecting Internet development in
developing countries. Papers and discussions between
participants will assess the progress made to improve
connectivity. Discussions will be held about practical solutions
regarding the further deployment of Internet applications in

Global Knowledge 97
- Global Knowledge 97 is an ongoing global dialogue on how to harness knowledge and
information as tools of sustainable and equitable development. Its focal point was an
international conference on Knowledge for Development in the Information Age, co-hosted by
the World Bank and the Government of Canada in June 1997, in cooperation with a broad
range of public and private partners.
