Volunteer Workdays

At WiderNet's Volunteer Workdays, we normally have volunteers come into our office to sort and test computers, erase hard-drives, wrap donations, and document each computer.

No previous computer experience is necessary - we'll teach you how to do more technical work and there will be plenty of work cleaning up donations and moving computer equipment.

We can accommodate for groups, but please contact us ahead of time.

In the past we've held monthly or bimonthly volunteer workdays, but currently we're holding them upon request of organizations or groups interested in getting together to volunteer. All workdays are held at our office at 201 Communications Center on the University of Iowa Campus. The building is across Madison Street from the UI Main Library. Signs will be posted on the building and the doors will be unlocked.

And don't forget - volunteer work at The WiderNet Project can go towards 10,000 Hours Show, Silver Cord Award, and other volunteer participation programs!
