Directions to the Communications
Center
- From north of Communications
Center (and from I-80): Take the Dubuque
Street/University of Iowa Exit (#244). Head
south on Dubuque.
Turn west on Market.
Turn south on Madison. Communications Center is located at 116 S. Madison Street
directly across from the Main Library to the east. You can park your car
at the Main Library's parking lot (just south of the Main
Library) or in the parking ramp located at Clinton and
Burlington.
- From south of Communications
Center: Drive north on South Riverside Drive. Turn east on West Burlington Street. Turn
north on Madison Street. Communications Center is located at 116 S. Madison Street directly
across from the Main Library to the east. You can park your car at the
Main Library's parking lot (just south of the Main Library) or
in the parking ramp located at Clinton and Burlington.
- From Coralville:
Going east on Second Street, continue on US-6.
Turn east on West Iowa Street.
Turn south on South Madison Street.
Communications Center is located at 116 S. Madison Street directly across from
the Main Library to the east. You can park your car at the Main Library's
parking lot (just south of the Main Library) or in the parking
ramp located at Clinton and Burlington.

The WiderNet Project's Offices
The WiderNet Project's Offices are at 201 Communications Center.
This is the north east corner of the second floor. There are stairs
at either end of the building. There is also an elevator in the
center of the building.
Office Hours
The WiderNet Project is usually open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5
PM. The offices are closed on campus holidays. During the summer, you
may want to call ahead before 9 AM, during the lunch hour and after
4 PM.
Special Directions for Donors
If you are bringing a donation (http://www.widernet.org/shipping/donations/),
please park in the alley between the Communications Center and the
Seamans Center/Engineering Building, which is the entire building to
the north and east of us (it looks like two on the map). There is a
service drive between the two buildings that leads to a service
parking lot. Don't drive all the way into the parking lot. When you
first pull into the drive, the second door on the right should be a
large glass door between two large glass windows. Stop there. (Note:
if you didn't have to step down to get into the room, you're lost.)
The door is to a "loading room" where you can bring things in. If
you call ahead of time, someone can come down with a cart and the
form that you'll need to fill out who can help you unload. If you
come outside of office hours, you can actually leave the items down
there, but leave a note or the pre-printed donation form to signify
that they're for The WiderNet Project AND call and/or email us to
let us know to look for them!
