Comments

It would facilitate better understanding if the materials were given to the students at least one week before the lectures.
I appreciate the efforts of WiderNet in trying to bring ICT to all African universities. I hope NUC will make it mandatory for all universities to implement all participants recommendations to improve their skills level.
I thank God. I learnt so many things in the Workshop and very knowledgeable and I am sure in near future, I would like to attend. And, finally, it's been a worthwhile experience.
It would be nice to establish collaboration between the University of Iowa and University of Maiduguri on IT development
Well commendable workshop.
Satisfactory
I really had a nice time. I am not the same way I came. It's worthwhile training. The disappointment I had is the cancellation of Jos training which is understandable anywhere. A big thanks to all!
The training was superb. Keep it up.
The workshop was reasonably interesting and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed it more than any workshop I have ever attended. Please keep it up!
Training such as these will be at great benefit to students with high interest in computers. It will be nice if Widernet could find some way at having them involved.
I had a nice time, the course is timely and efficient.
NUNet NUC - 10 Gbossa (cheers) for you! For you have done a good job.
The resource person did excellently well within the short time frame but I still expect more. The training should be for a minimum period of four weeks. The venue is not too conducive - unsteady power supply and no table for placing writing material.
The training is very timely and relevant to the current globalization and information communication and technology (ICT).
Frankly, this workshop, organised by Widernet in conjuction with NUC, is timely especially considering our backwardness in the ICT industry and the need to grow by way of community and sharing ideas and information. Hence my reason for the two requests above so that there will be enough manpower to take case of the facilities in case of breakdown so that service is not stopped for a long period when the professionals are not available.
Generally, the training was comprehensively concise. I commend your organizer for a job well done.
It's been a great time with Cliff. I wish he is able to visit each University to see what is on the ground and help the Universities in overcoming their peculiar problems. Thanks so much to the organisers, especially Dr. Ibrahim and Prof. Cliff Missen.
I suggest that the length of training be made a week.
The instructor was generally good. I recommend him for another set of training.
Training that leads to satisfacation.
I appreciate the efforts of NUC (NUNet) and other co-sponsors for a good job. More frequent training will be appreciated and will make us more useful to the University.
The training was really O.K., but in the future training like this should be done at a single go, with exam writing at a time for everyone that attends. It should be scheduled for as long as it will take to study and finish the exams.

What other seminar topics would you like us to offer?

Satellite technology, fibre optics
Training in fiber optics termination, satellite configuration, database design for the Web
I would like other training in the future to bring other opportunities to further my education and arrange international seminars and workshops for the participants.
Development and design of Web pages and graphics.
Training more on Web site design and development. Satellite dish installation and the application of fibre optics for information transfer.
Programming and more training in information and Internet technology.
Training on installation, configuration, and performance training on Linux and wireless networks.
Training on MCSD, CISCO Certification.
System administration: Priority, security, network maintenance and Web page Design. Database management systems.
Training in operating systems and vital server software. Training on anti-virus (how they come about, how they are built...) General error handling in a network.
Web content design. Computer assembly. Troubleshooting.
More on the latest technicalities of this technology. More of this kind again and again.
Fibre optic training. Satellite dish installation and configuration.
1. Course in system administration and database management.
2. More focus on Web design/hosting.
Database design. Web page design and hosting.
It will suffice if WiderNet will also next time include in its training program the following: 1) Internet administration. 2) V-Sat installation and configuration.
Virtual Library development.
Access to Internet, Web hosting and troubleshooting.
I would want some training on network cabling, especially fibre optic cabling and radio links.
MCSE Training.
We need more training on practical . Another section of the training should make us more confident to handle our task.
Router and switches.
Connecting satellite receiver to a network practical demonstration. Power supply construction, maintenance, and usage design and optimization.
More advanced training on design and practical maintenance of Networks will be highly appreciated. Also, sophisticated equipment should be brought and training conducted on how use them in diagnosing computing equipment.
Script writing using perl and other Linux script writing programs to write our own scripts and comments. Multimedia development using programs to create more user interactive tutorials.
Programming in Visual Basic. Programming in Microsoft Visual FoxPro, SQL programming.
