This workshop, led by Cliff Missen and Michael Schmitz, will feature
presentations on wireless networking, both local area networking and
wide area (building-to-building) networking. It will
include a hands-on demonstration of wireless technology using new
equipment from 3Com. Schedule:
- Overview of wireless technologies and their applications
- Network design considerations
- Report on lessons learned in wireless implementations
- Review of cost implications and comparisons
- Hands-on demonstration of local area networking
- Hands-on demonstration of wide area networking
This workshop is designed for entry-level ICT
staff and assumes little or no prior experience in wireless networking.
Cost: N3,500. Lunch will be provided on site.
