Program Title Planning for the Enterprise
Type of Program Enterprise Management
Training Modality This one-year workshop incorporates hands-on training, distance learning, and computer-based training.
Description The challenges to planning and implementing a network can be daunting, especially when resources and skilled staff are premiums at most universities. This management and policy workshop helps you create a holistic and successful Information Communication Technology (ICT) enterprise.

You will learn about all four areas of ICT progress:

  • Network & Nodes

  • Human Capacity

  • Effective Services

  • Connectivity

Research has shown that only 30% of the cost of a successful ICT endeavor involves the hardware, software, and network equipment (including connectivity.) The other two-thirds include the cost of staffing and training the end-users. This workshop teaches how to ascertain all of these needs, from high-end technical training, to staffing, consulting, and managing advice. With a multi-faceted approach, it is within reach to build a network of highly trained experts at your enterprise.

Background Information

"I believe that as tech companies go forward, you cannot be in the business of selling software, hardware, communications, without also having a services business: a consulting business which helps your customers put it all together and make it work.'"
